Ive have it nicked, is here any way of getting it stern. I heard when they connect to the internet the police will know how to trace it.

Best thing to do is...somewhere it was stolen from (Car/House/Office)...see if at hand are any CCTV camera's around and ask if you could get them to look at it, too see if you can see the thiefs...that instrument the police will have some ego on the thiefs..

I had a lb1600 Dell Inspiron 8200 stolen out of my vehicle. in 2002..(and it be in my boot)......Police took a statement at the department...and that was it.....they found the culprit..but because the police took longer than 3 months to prepare the luggage...CPS throw the case out the glass :-(
Yes if you had put software on it that would assistance you do that. If you didnt then they can simply wipe the HD and they are home free.
if its been stolen you are exceptionally UNlikly to get it support. the police are lazy ba$tard$. i dont ruminate they would care that much more or less finding a laptop. i know this from personal experience
