Is the card slot on my sony vaio n11s used for tv and what one do i procure?

i'm contemporary to all these slots on my laptop. i meditate it is a card slot to recieve tv. if it is, which one do i get? and what else can it be used for. plentiful thanks contained by advance

Answer:

You can use it for TV or for wireless network or bluetooth applications or anything else. Basically it is a port much like USB port but be designed at a time before the advent of USB 2.0 also your laptop have built in wireless gridiron card so you don't need it for that. You can stir to PC World or Dixons or the Sony shop, (if you like) though they tend to be expensive and buy a TV card which will fit in the slot, stick contained by an aerial and probably receive a programme with the card to draw from digital or analogue TV on your laptop then you can story TV programmes on to your hard drive or movies and beside a programme like nero or cyberlink you can stifle out the adverts and burn them onto DVD. Some of the TV cards they get rid of now are more or less the size of a couple of AA battaries side by side and they plug into the USB port so the card slot is pretty redundent these days but you can still use them.

So unsophisticatedly if you can find the things the card slot can be used for all sorts of applications but as I said mostly since USB 2.0 to be precise what they use - hope i have help. !... just remembered you can find a TV card for about lb25.00 currently so shop around! how to value
