Is nearby a surge protector built into my A/C adapter for my laptop charger?

Just wondering. And but for, is it that big of a deal if I don't use a surge protector?

You dont hold to have one.but if you cant replace your laptop if something happen to it you might want to invest in one in recent times to be safe.

No, it's not that big of a agreement. At least if you enjoy a big lightening storm and your computer breaks, you'll know what happened.
No its a moment ago a power converter. you can and should get a surge suppressor. If you travel alot next to it you would want to consider a laptop surge supressor.

So the answer is yes. There is a limited surge protection competency on your A/C adapter. However, Surge protection only works if the power outlet is properly grounded. If not, you will run the risk of detrimental the A/C adapter since surge protection does not work without proper grounding.



I'm on my 9th laptop contained by my 11 years of working. The only problem I have with the A/C adapter is a cracked plastic housing which cracked when the adapter get too hot. Even with a innards showing, the A/C adapter still worked flawlessly until I returned it to the entrepreneur who promptly replaced it without interview. I had co-worker who fried his A/C adapter because the power outlet he used didnt enjoy a ground wire.
