Is possible to upgrade to a pentium 4 proscessor from a pentium 2?

My friend said he would put up for sale me his Dell Latitude for $100 works fine he said he thinks it have a Pentium 2 in it i be wondering if this was other and if i could upgrade the proscessor to a pentium 4

Very unlikely. Notebooks are typically not made to be upgraded. I don't mean to put a strain on the relationship next to your friend, but I'd estimate any PII computer to be worth no more than $75. Keep in mind that the computer you enjoy is really going to be lucky to run Win2k acceptably. That should provide a reference surrounded by terms of the age of the computer, it's speed/power and capability, and its value.
P2is a different socket processor than P4 is. You'll necessitate to get a cpu and mobo. A P4 is an entirely different animal than a P2.

Inside a computer (CPU) near is a big board on which all devices close to processors, hard drive, floppy, DVD etc is attached too. This big board is specified as a motherboard.



Generlly a motherboard which supports Pentium 2 processor would not support a pentium 4 processor, unless the motherboard is only few years antiquated.
