Is the x1600 128mb cards memory upgradeble by adding up more hit to the 15.4 Macbook?

I dont know whether the x1600 uses a combination of onboard strike and system. I know the some video cards use system memory as well, which can be set to how much is used surrounded by the BIOS. I was wondering if duplicate held true because Apple offer 2 configurations of the 15.4 Macbook Pro, one next to 128mb and 256mb. The first config only comes near a 1gb of system ram, however 256mb rig comes near 2gb. The reasoning behind this is Im trying to afford one these beast, but the price jumps $500 between to 2 configurations, for something as simple as 1gb of run into and maybe some tooling around contained by the EFI.

Answer:

the X1600 does not draw off of the prevalent system's memory, so adding more memory will not increase the amount of video memory. The X1600 is merely offered in the MacBook Pro...the Macbook (13.3 widescreen) offer only integrated graphics.

You might look on Apple's refurbished store for a promise on a MBP with a 256MB card if you want one really discouraging...hope this helps...
